I read the Club House Jr. magazine about the Shoes 2 Share challenge and decided to make it my summer mission project because I wanted the children of Haiti and around the world to have shoes like me. I set a goal to collect 500 pairs of shoes and my mom helped me write a letter to our family, friends and church family.
My dad said he would drive my shoe collection to the Shoes 2 Share warehouse in Delaware. Then the shoes started to come in from Maryland, D.C., Virginia and New York. My dad, mom, sisters, grandparents, aunts and cousins helped me to sort and box all the shoes. Thanks to God I collected 1,120 pairs of shoes.
On August 17, 2010, we delivered all the shoes to the S2S warehouse and I was able to meet Dee Dee and her family. I will remember this forever!
