Dear Shoes 2 Share,
After reading about
Shoes2Share in my Clubhouse Jr. Magazine, I asked my mom if we could collect
shoes. She said, "yes!" My mom helped me make a list of people I
could call and ask to donate shoes. I made all the calls myself and told them
all about how some people in Haiti didn't have any shoes at all. Lots of people
who I know donated shoes, and we collected everything from slippers for kids to
work boots for dads. Today was the day we packed up all the shoes and sent them
off. We counted the shoes as we packed them up, and we discovered that I had
collected 140 pairs of shoes! I watched the delivery truck drive away, and I
said goodbye to all the shoes. I love you, kids and hope you get my shoes soon,
because they're pretty cool, and you'll love them.
